According to Mamataliyev, in modern conditions, transport networks are not just means of moving people and goods, but vital arteries of the economy.
“For countries like Kyrgyzstan, which has no access to the sea, the development of transport infrastructure becomes one of the key directions,” he added.
At the conference, attended by scientists from Russia, China, Lithuania, and Central Asia, issues regarding the application of artificial intelligence in managing transport flows and the development of environmentally friendly urban transport were discussed.
The development of transport corridors has a direct impact on economic forecasts. According to the World Bank, GDP growth in Kyrgyzstan is expected to be 6.8 percent in 2026, and around 5.5 percent in the medium term. The main factors for this growth will be the service sector and construction. Earlier, the Cabinet of Ministers emphasized that investments in transport and irrigation create the foundation for the long-term stability of the republic.
