"Little Elephants" appeared on the map of Bishkek at the end of summer. The reconstruction of the playground at the intersection of Ayni and Dushanbe streets (A. Toktonalieva) in the green zone was carried out by the residents themselves in collaboration with the public fund "Urban Initiatives." However, they do not intend to stop at cleaning and beautifying the area: the playground should not only be clean and well-maintained but also provide an opportunity for people to communicate in an "offline" mode. Thus, after the opening of "Little Elephants," adults in the park no longer watch series in the evenings but talk about life and discuss their problems with neighbors while children play not with gadgets but with peers on the playgrounds. On September 21 and 22, residents of nearby houses and other citizens met thanks to the project "Outdoor Movie Screenings." To continue the tradition of communication, residents of nearby houses and the public fund "Urban Initiatives" decided to hold a fair. "Jams and Pickles" will not only be a place to sell winter preserves but also a festival for meeting and communicating between people, fostering universal good-neighborly relations and culture. The initiative has also been supported by some entrepreneurs.
- At the fair, you will be able to try many types of jams and pickles, lovingly prepared according to family recipes, replenish your winter supplies, and participate in master classes from chefs. There will also be pleasant music and games for children, baked goods and tea for adults, so come with your families! We hope that this initiative will become a good tradition of good-neighborly relations, and we really need your support! – note the organizers. - All proceeds from the fair will go towards the improvement of the "Little Elephants" park.
