Large markets in Bishkek are ready to provide farmers with free spaces to stabilize meat prices

During the meeting, Minister Bakyt Sydykov emphasized that control over food prices will be strengthened. He urged market participants to actively engage in the price stabilization process rather than remain on the sidelines. "Every large market can contribute," said Sydykov.

Erkin Salymbekov, the head of the "Dordoy-Dyikan" market, announced the readiness to provide farmers with free trading spaces for three months for meat sales. "We will provide everything necessary, including refrigeration equipment and hanging racks for carcasses," he added. The heads of two other major city markets — Osh and Alamedin — also expressed their readiness to allocate spaces on a free basis.
Muradbek Imankulov, Deputy Chairman of the Antimonopoly Regulation Service under the Ministry of Economy and Commerce, reported that over the past three months, 677 monitoring activities have been conducted at 2,900 facilities. As a result, 17 entities were issued directives, and 78 fines totaling 316,000 soms were imposed. "Monitoring will be carried out in a strict and systematic manner with personal responsibility for all participants in the price formation chain for socially significant products," noted Imankulov.
