A meeting was held in Bishkek, gathering a delegation from Henan Province (China), consisting of representatives from Henan Water Construction Group and related organizations. The delegation was led by the ambassador for cooperation with Central Asia from Henan Province, member of the Zhengzhou City Council, Chang Zheng.
From the Kyrgyz side, Nurgazy Kurmanbekov, Deputy Mayor of the capital and Director of the Department of Fuel and Energy Complex, participated in the negotiations. Representatives of relevant municipal services responsible for city development also took part in the discussions.
During the meeting, the parties discussed opportunities for expanding cooperation between Bishkek and Henan Province in several key areas:
* the possibility of establishing sister city relations between Bishkek and Zhengzhou;
* joint projects in hydraulic engineering, including the development of power plants;
* drilling wells and using new technologies to ensure reliable water supply for the capital;
* implementing modern accounting and monitoring systems for water resources, including the installation of water meters and specialized equipment for MP "Bishkekvodokanal";
* training municipal specialists in institutions of Henan Province on urban management, water resources, and municipal technologies.
As a result of the meeting, both parties emphasized their interest in further developing practical cooperation, exchanging experiences, and working out specific technical and organizational solutions.
