In the Issyk-Kul region, a court sentenced a man who received money under the pretext of a buttock augmentation operation, while deceitfully gaining the trust of his victim. His punishment amounted to three years of imprisonment, and he was also ordered to compensate for the material damage.

According to data from the State Register of Judicial Acts, Umar [name changed B.U.U.] from 2021 to 2025 created the appearance of serious intentions to marry Aigerim [name changed A.B.B.], which allowed him to deceitfully gain her trust.

Investigative authorities found that starting from April 2025, the man, abusing the victim's trust, extorted money from her under various pretexts for his personal gain, thereby causing damage to her property.

In particular, on April 24, 2025, he persuaded Aigerim to sell two gold rings and received 11,000 soms at the "Nomad" hotel in Karakol, which he spent on his needs.

Additionally, on May 2, 2025, at the "Archa" cafe, he informed Aigerim that 370,000 soms were required for the buttock augmentation operation, and he was short of 60,000. As a result, she handed him 40,000 rubles and 19,000 soms, but this money was also not used for the operation and went towards the defendant's personal expenses.

Also, in May 2025, the man, citing the need to buy a car in Bishkek, asked Aigerim for a loan and met with her, where he took her mobile phone "iPhone 13 Pro Max," promising to return a new "iPhone 16," but he never fulfilled this promise.

Furthermore, on April 23, 2025, he convinced her to transfer 10,000 soms to his electronic wallet, and on May 4, citing the need to pay off a debt, he received another 35,000 soms.

On May 5, 2025, under the pretext of being detained by the police and needing treatment, he extorted 10,000 soms from her, which also went to pay off his debts.

On April 22, 2025, Umar used Aigerim's phone to take out a loan of 48,000 soms, which he then transferred to his wallet, unlawfully seizing these funds.

In addition, on May 10, 2025, he, posing as a police officer, booked a room at the "Hotel 78" in Karakol, presenting himself in uniform, and stayed there until May 18 without paying 76,500 soms for accommodation, after which he disappeared.

On September 25, 2025, the Karakol City Court found Umar guilty of eight counts of fraud, sentencing him to one year of imprisonment for each count. According to the partial accumulation of sentences, the total punishment amounted to three years.

From June 21, 2025, Umar will serve his sentence in a general regime correctional facility, and the measure of restraint in the form of detention remains unchanged until the verdict comes into force.

Additionally, he was ordered to compensate for the material damage in the amount of 173,000 soms to the victim, and 76,500 soms to the "Hotel 78."

Dissatisfied with the court's decision, Umar filed an appeal, promising to pay damages of 249,500 soms by December 1, 2025, and expressed his desire to settle the debt. He also claimed that the first-instance court did not consider his petitions and requested to overturn the verdict.

The senior assistant prosecutor of the city of Karakol responded to the complaint, noting that the court conducted a comprehensive examination of the case and imposed a fair punishment, as Umar's guilt was fully proven.

The judicial panel of the Issyk-Kul Regional Court upheld the verdict of the Karakol City Court on November 26, 2025, and dismissed the appeal. The verdict comes into force upon announcement, and the parties have the right to appeal it in cassation to the Supreme Court.
