Kyrgyzstan can completely pay off its accumulated external debt by 2035

The President of the country announced details on the stages of debt repayment


According to information provided by President Sadyr Japarov at the IV People's Kurultai, Kyrgyzstan has the opportunity to pay off its entire external debt by 2035.

The head of state outlined the projected repayment amounts for the next five years:

- In 2025 — $857 million (already paid);

- In 2026 — $1.048 billion;

- In 2027 — $1.277 billion;

- In 2028 — $1.326 billion;

- In 2029 — $1.326 billion;

- In 2030 — $1.201 billion.

“After 2030, repayments will begin to decrease, and by 2035 we will be able to completely free ourselves from the state debt that has accumulated over the last thirty years,” Japarov added.
