At the meeting, the results of monitoring the epidemiological situation and the assessment of the burden on medical institutions were announced. According to information provided by the heads of children's hospitals and health coordinators, requests for medical assistance are at the level of long-term averages, although there has been an increase in the number of direct admissions to hospitals, bypassing the primary care level. On weekends and holidays, all Family Medicine Centers in the republic organized shifts to receive patients.
The Minister of Health noted that at the end of 2025, there were 15,043 cases of ARVI and influenza recorded, while at the beginning of 2026, this number decreased to 9,490. From January 5 to 8, 2026, 6,745 cases were registered. He emphasized that overall, the epidemiological situation remains stable and monitoring will continue daily in all regions.
During the discussion, the minister instructed to strengthen the sorting and routing of patients in Family Medicine Centers to optimize the flow distribution. Attention was also given to issues of prevention and informing the population. Kanibek Dosmambetov emphasized the importance of activating sanitary and educational work and collaborating with the media to clarify the routes for seeking care and preventive measures against seasonal infections.
"Although the epidemiological situation in the country is stable, we need to organize actions at all levels. It is important to enhance sorting and routing at the primary level, continue preventive activities, and more actively inform the population through mass media to reduce unnecessary admissions to hospitals and strengthen the healthcare system as a whole," the minister noted.
As a result of the meeting, it was decided to continue daily monitoring and operational coordination with the regions to ensure the resilience of the healthcare system in the context of seasonal morbidity.
