In Kyrgyzstan, the trend of decreasing cases of influenza and ARVI continues, as reported by the press service of the Ministry of Health.

The agency, headed by Minister Kanaybek Dosmambetov, held a meeting dedicated to the situation with ARVI and influenza.

According to data from the Department of Disease Prevention and State Sanitary and Epidemiological Surveillance, there is a decrease in the number of registered cases in the country. At the end of 2025, there were 15,043 reported cases, and from December 29, 2025, to January 4, 2026, there were 9,490 cases. From January 5 to January 8, 2026, the number of cases amounted to 6,745.

Overall, the epidemiological situation is stable, and monitoring continues in all regions of the country.

Leaders of children's hospitals and health coordinators noted that a significant portion of the burden on hospitals arises from direct appeals from the population, bypassing the primary care level. On weekends and holidays, duty shifts have been organized in the Family Medicine Centers of the republic to receive patients.

Kanaybek Dosmambetov instructed to improve the sorting and routing of patients in the FMC for more effective distribution of the flow between levels of medical care.

The Minister also emphasized the need to intensify sanitary-educational work and cooperation with the media to clarify the routes for seeking care and measures for the prevention of seasonal infections.
