In the city of Osh, the possibility of naming one of the local streets after Bayaman Erkinbaev, the honorary deceased deputy, is being considered. This was announced by the mayor of the city, Jenishbek Toktorbaev, during an inspection of the demolition of illegal structures in the Alisher Navoi Park, which took place on January 10.

Toktorbaev noted that it has been exactly a year since Erkinbaev's relatives expressed their intention to independently dismantle the "Palvan-Saray" building located in the park. The mayor pointed out the frequent promises made by the relatives regarding the demolition, which have not been fulfilled. He proposed organizing a meeting with them to find out if they would fulfill their obligations. Otherwise, according to Toktorbaev, the city hall is ready to demolish the building themselves and lease the freed-up territory.

According to the mayor, this structure occupies several plots in the park, and its demolition would free up a significant area. Toktorbaev also suggested commemorating Erkinbaev by erecting a monument and naming one of the streets in his honor. He emphasized that Erkinbaev was an outstanding individual, a deputy for four convocations, and a hero of his time.

The "Palvan-Saray" building was constructed about 30–35 years ago and served as a venue for sports events organized by Bayaman Erkinbaev; however, it became abandoned after 2005. Erkinbaev himself was tragically killed on September 21, 2005, in Bishkek.

Demolition work on illegal structures in Alisher Navoi Park began in August 2025. Initially, it was planned to demolish 11 buildings, of which nine have already been dismantled, while the demolition of the remaining ones continues. Despite a court ruling to transfer the land plots to municipal ownership, the owners continued to use the buildings.

According to the municipal property management, among the demolished objects were buildings associated with Omurbek Tekebaev, Cholpon Sultankbekova, and the late Bayaman Erkinbaev.

Additionally, work is underway in the park to clear the water protection zone of illegal constructions. In particular, seven out of eleven objects are located within 50 meters of the river's water protection zone. Previous attempts were made to clear this area, but there was a lack of political will to implement the plans; however, work is now being carried out with the participation of the building owners.

The municipality also reported the start of the demolition of objects such as a dental clinic and a restaurant built in the water protection zone. These buildings belonged to former high-ranking officials. For example, the "Zhetigen" restaurant and the "Anar" clinic are also located in the area that is to be cleared.
