According to information from the mayor's office, in 2001-2002, 2,163 square meters of land from a 1-hectare 33-sotka plot of School No. 8 named after Maxim Gorky were allocated to private ownership based on municipal decisions. As a result, the educational institution found itself surrounded by hotels and restaurants. Currently, the issue of returning these land plots to municipal ownership is being considered in court.
A similar situation is observed with Gymnasium No. 6 named after Anton Makarenko, where 1,818 square meters of land were also transferred to private individuals. However, on December 23, the Supreme Court declared these decisions invalid, creating an opportunity for the return of the land.
Additionally, about 15 various structures have been built on the territory of School No. 57 named after Tajimatov. In this regard, inspections and legal measures are also being conducted.
The city administration reported that in 2026, efforts to identify and return illegally allocated lands belonging to schools are planned to be intensified.
