The Ministry of Culture of the Kyrgyz Republic will allocate 50 million soms in 2026 for the creation of animated films in the Kyrgyz language. This was announced by Marat Tagaev, Deputy Minister of Culture, Information, Sports, and Youth Policy, during his speech at the Jogorku Kenesh.
According to Tagaev, there is a significant shortage of children's cartoons in the state language in Kyrgyzstan. To address this issue, the ministry intends to use modern technologies.
“The introduction of artificial intelligence has radically changed the animation creation process, making it much more accessible. Of the total amount of 50 million soms, we plan to allocate about 30 million for the production of new animated films, while the remaining 20 million will go towards professional dubbing of well-known cartoons into the Kyrgyz language,” the deputy minister added.
Additionally, Tagaev noted that by the end of the year, the ministry plans to present not one or two, but a whole hundred cartoons. All created content will be available not only on national television channels but also on the YouTube platform, allowing it to reach as many children as possible.
