Edil Baisalov continued his thoughts on social media:
Perhaps this model could continue to benefit the people. General Tashiev has repeatedly publicly confirmed his support for the president, emphasizing that the head of state has every right to continue the initiated reforms. These statements were clear and unambiguous.
However, in recent months, some shortsighted individuals, including elderly "has-beens" and "political bankrupts," began to undermine this stability, hiding behind the name of the general. They sought to promote their own interests, creating an atmosphere of ambiguity and covert confrontation. This led to dangerous uncertainty, with discussions in society about possible dual power and the need for early elections.
It is these provocateurs and their ambitions that have caused a rift between Sadyr Japarov and Kamchybek Tashiev, threatening the stability of society and the state.
This is unacceptable for the state. Power must remain clear, legitimate, and concentrated in one center of responsibility.
President Sadyr Japarov took an oath to the people and the Constitution of the Kyrgyz Republic. His supreme duty is to ensure the unity and stability of the state, guarantee the rule of law, and prevent the usurpation of power.
We must not repeat the mistakes of the past, when state decisions depended on personal relationships. The president must serve the people and the Constitution, without allowing personal connections to influence his duties.
In a mature political society, we cannot afford to reduce important state issues to personal conflicts.
Moreover, it is necessary to recognize that in recent years, there has been an imbalance in the governance system. The excessive concentration of functions in security agencies has led some of them to act beyond their powers, creating an atmosphere of fear and persecution. This has provoked just criticism from civil society and youth.
We have already gone through such periods when legality gave way to political interests. Violating the principle of the rule of law undermines the foundations of a constitutional state.
The mistakes made, regardless of the good intentions behind them, contradict the spirit of our Constitution. The Kyrgyz Republic must protect the legal rights of every citizen. The period of inappropriate concentration of power and institutional imbalance must remain in the past. We must strive for the rule of law, where each institution operates within its clearly defined functions.
I am saddened to realize that this stage of our political history has ended so unexpectedly. However, this period of uncertainty had to come to an end. We must pay tribute to General Tashiev for his call for peace and stability and his refusal to engage in illegal actions.
Kyrgyzstan faces important tasks, including hosting major international events and celebrating the 35th anniversary of our Independence. We must ensure these occur in an atmosphere of calm and stability. The presidential elections must take place on schedule in January of next year.
I am confident that this year our multinational people and every family will feel an improvement in their standard of living. The people's government is diligently working to fulfill this task set by the head of state.
Today, it is important for us to unite around the democratically elected president, Sadyr Japarov, and support the course towards legality, stability, and the continuation of the initiated reforms for the future of Kyrgyzstan.
