At the final meeting of the office of the plenipotentiary representative of the President of Kyrgyzstan, held in the Naryn region, Deputy Prime Minister Edil Baisalov emphasized the importance of industrial development in the region. This was reported by the press service of the Cabinet.
During the meeting, the results of the socio-economic progress of the region were presented. In particular, by 2025, the volume of industrial production in Naryn is expected to increase by 2.5 times, made possible by the launch of a new plant at the Solton-Sary gold deposit.
Baisalov noted that the Naryn region is entering a new phase of its development. Major infrastructure projects of national significance are currently being implemented in the region. One of these projects is the construction of a transcontinental railway, as well as the ongoing construction of the Balykchy – Kochkor railway line with the possibility of further extension. Additionally, the creation of a new road from Torugart to Kazarman is beginning, which will significantly reduce transit transportation time and distance, improving the logistics of the region. At the same time, plans are in place to asphalt hundreds of kilometers of roads and form a modern transport framework.
Speaking at the meeting, Edil Baisalov emphasized that the Naryn region has strategic importance for the future of the country.
“The new transport corridors being created under the instruction of President Sadyr Japarov, both rail and road, create fundamentally new opportunities for the development of vast reserves of coal, iron ore, bauxite, rare earth elements, and other minerals in the Tien Shan mountains. The leadership of the region and all state institutions have been tasked with ensuring the systematic use of these resources and the creation of the largest industrial facilities in the country here. In the coming years, the Naryn region will become one of the key industrial centers of Kyrgyzstan and will develop dynamically,” he noted.
As a result of the meeting, the main tasks and priorities for the socio-economic development of the region were identified, and clear instructions were given to the heads of local and state authorities.
