In the village of Oktyabr, which is part of the rural district of Bagysh in the Suzak region of the Jalal-Abad region, the restoration of the local park is now under the control of the Ministry of Construction, Architecture, and Communal Services. This was reported by Minister Nurdin Oruntaev during his visit to the city of Manas on March 18.

The minister noted that the park was included in the list of facilities with inflated costs. "We have identified numerous violations related to the purchase of equipment for parks at inflated prices. We are also checking whether project standards are being adhered to during the work," he added while speaking with journalists.

The area of the Tukubai Taygaraev Park is approximately 2 hectares. After the collapse of the Soviet Union, it was abandoned, and the playgrounds fell into disrepair. According to plans, the restoration work is expected to be completed by March-April 2026. The project also includes the construction of additional squares along the roads, for which about 90 million soms have been allocated from the republican budget.

In October 2025, the akim of the Bagysh rural administration, Nursultan Tügoibekov, reported that this park was established during the Soviet era and named after the Hero of the Soviet Union Tukubai Taygaraev. He noted that over time, the area fell into disrepair and needed renewal. Currently, 85 million soms have been allocated for the park's restoration, and work has already begun.

"The main recreation park in the rural district occupies an area of 1 hectare and 80 ares. After the collapse of the Soviet Union, it was left unattended, and its structures deteriorated. Currently, reconstruction work is underway: dangerous trees are being cut down, old concrete fences are being dismantled, and the construction of a cinema has begun," said N. Tügoibekov.

He also added that four shops, which were partially located on the territory of the park and the sidewalk, have been demolished. The construction work is planned to be completed by March-April 2026. Along the main road parallel to the park, a square 1 kilometer long will be created, for which an additional 20 million soms have been allocated.

Earlier, on September 1, 2025, former Deputy Prime Minister and former head of the State Committee for National Security Kamchybek Tashiev familiarized himself with the condition of social facilities in the Bagysh rural district and gave local self-government bodies a number of instructions to address the identified issues.
