This information was provided by specialists from the Batken Interdistrict Center for Disease Prevention and State Sanitary and Epidemiological Surveillance.
According to the center's data, 75% of all measles cases involve people who refused vaccination, as well as children who have not yet reached the age to receive vaccinations.
The agency also presented the distribution of cases by districts:
- Kadamjay District — 140 cases,
- City of Kyzyl-Kiya — 85 cases,
- Batken District — 54 cases,
- City of Batken — 30 cases,
- Leylek District — 15 cases,
- City of Suluktu — 3 cases.
“After the measles vaccine was delivered to the Batken region and mass immunization was conducted, no new cases of the disease have been recorded over the past four months,” the message notes.
In 2024, 510 cases of measles were recorded in the region.
Currently, inspections aimed at preventing measles and vaccinating the population are underway in the Batken region.
