On the same day, February 2, the head of the State National Security Committee Kamchybek Tashiev handed over 20 vehicles to medical institutions in the Naryn region, which should help address the issue of a shortage of official transport and improve the material and technical base of hospitals.
According to the minister, the state of the healthcare system requires attention: many buildings and infrastructure are outdated. The President is actively focusing on this issue and giving appropriate instructions.
“Our main task is not the capital repair of existing buildings, but the construction of new facilities. All district and territorial hospitals must be standardized and unified. Previously, the central office of the Ministry of Health did not deal with these issues, and institutions independently sought funding and developed projects, which led to heterogeneity. Now we need to bring everything into a single order,” he noted.
Dosmambetov also added that many reforms are ahead. “I must justify the trust placed in me and implement all the tasks set within the next 1-2 years,” the minister concluded.
