At the meeting of the committee of the Jogorku Kenesh on industrial policy, transport, the fuel and energy complex, architecture, and construction, the need to intensify construction work in the healthcare sector in 2026 was announced. The Deputy Minister of Construction, Talantbek Imankun uulu, presented this information.

During the meeting, issues regarding the formation of prices for services and works of the Ministry of Construction, Architecture, and Housing and Communal Services, as well as the observed rise in prices in the construction sector, were discussed.

Deputy Kunduizbek Suimanov raised the question of the criteria by which districts are selected for the construction of social facilities and who is responsible for their distribution.

In response, Imankun uulu stated that work is currently underway on 80 social facilities in the Jalal-Abad region. Suimanov confirmed that he is aware of this information but clarified why some hospital projects remain unfunded by the Ministry of Finance.

The Deputy Minister inquired whether the deputy claims that the announced facilities are not being built at all. Suimanov explained that he is interested in a specific hospital project in the village of Uch-Terek.

Imankun uulu reported that 680 facilities are being constructed in the country; however, Suimanov again raised the question of why the hospital in Uch-Terek is not being built according to a standard project. The Deputy Minister explained that funding is not provided for this project.

Suimanov expressed concern that the issue of building a hospital in this village has remained unresolved for three years. "This hospital should have been built 40 years ago, but it is still not resolved. We constantly talk about the social sphere, but healthcare does not receive enough attention, and the problem with hospitals is still relevant," the deputy noted.

In response, Imankun uulu agreed that the issue indeed requires resolution. According to him, in 2024, the construction of 16 healthcare facilities was completed, and in 2025, 26. "It is important to understand that building hospitals involves not only the construction of buildings but also equipping them with the necessary equipment. In 2026, the task is set to intensify work specifically in this area," he added.

The Deputy Minister also emphasized that if previously the opening of 100 facilities per year was considered a success, now the volumes of construction are such that not all facilities are able to be commissioned on time.

The deputy, in turn, called for focusing on solving current problems rather than returning to past issues.
