Frames, "Primary Care", Digitalization: The Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic and WHO Aligned Priorities

The Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic held a meeting between Minister Kanbek Dosmambetov and Liviu Vedrasco, the representative of the World Health Organization in the country. During the discussion, the minister expressed confidence in the continuation of strategic partnership with WHO, which has been contributing to the strengthening of Kyrgyzstan's healthcare system for over 30 years.

Various aspects of cooperation were discussed, such as the development of primary healthcare, capacity building, digital transformation of healthcare, emergency preparedness, as well as issues related to antimicrobial resistance and mental health. Both participants noted that WHO's recommendations and expertise are actively applied in the creation of national programs and legislative acts in the field of healthcare.

The Ministry emphasized the importance of the WHO Cooperation Strategy with the Kyrgyz Republic for 2024–2030, which will serve as a basis for planning joint activities, with an emphasis on the need for its adaptation in accordance with the current tasks and priorities of the healthcare system.

Particular attention was paid to international and national health initiatives in which Kyrgyzstan plans to actively participate. In this context, the participants noted the importance of WHO's role in coordinating partner efforts and implementing international experience and best practices.

As a result of the meeting, the parties confirmed their readiness to deepen practical cooperation, regularly exchange views, and implement joint initiatives aimed at improving the health of the population and enhancing the effectiveness of the healthcare system of the Kyrgyz Republic.
