The Ministry of Health plans to create a registry of individuals in need of kidney and liver transplants.
Deputy Zhyldyz Egenberdieva raised the issue of the number of citizens in Kyrgyzstan who require liver transplantation.
Kadyraliev noted that there is currently no such registry, but the ministry is actively working on this issue in both kidney and liver transplantation.
He also added that at present, private clinics and other medical institutions lack reliable infection control.
The deputy's question also concerned the screening program for viral hepatitis, which has not yet been completed.
Umutkan Chokmorova, the director of the Republican Center for the Control of Hemocontact Viruses and HIV, reported that three years ago, the Republican AIDS Center was given the authority to diagnose hepatitis due to the similarity of infection routes.
“Among people infected with HIV, the number of those with hepatitis C reaches 1300, and with hepatitis B — up to 400. Considering the effectiveness of hepatitis treatment, we appealed to the president, the Cabinet of Ministers, and the Ministry of Health, which led to the inclusion of the hepatitis service in the Republican AIDS Center,” she noted.
Chokmorova added that the screening program is already functioning, the Cabinet is allocating the necessary funding, and it continues without interruptions.
In addition, the center is engaged in vaccination against hepatitis, as workers often do not have time for vaccinations.
Z. Egenberdieva explained that she asks questions because in some regions, citizens are required to undergo vaccination first and only then screening.
Before vaccination, express testing on capillary blood is conducted everywhere. If the result is negative, the person is vaccinated, and in the case of a positive result, they are referred for further tests, Chokmorova clarified.
