Karakol aims to become an international center for medicine and medical tourism for the CIS countries. As part of this project, a medical cluster worth 150 million dollars is planned to be built in the city. This information was announced during the working visit of Prime Minister Adylbek Kasymaliev to the Issyk-Kul region.
“During the visit, Kasymaliev was presented with the project of the international medical cluster in Karakol, which is planned to be established as a leading center for high technologies in the field of medicine and medical tourism for the CIS countries and neighboring regions,” the statement noted.
“As part of the project, it is planned to use modern diagnostic and treatment technologies, open specialized centers for oncology and cardiology, attract the best foreign doctors, as well as develop a system of medical education and training of qualified personnel,” the authors of the statement added.The total cost of this project is 150 million dollars, and the cluster will have 510 hospital beds and create about 750 new jobs.
