
The Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources of Mongolia, Dandinniyam Gongor, held a meeting with the leadership of CNPC (China National Petroleum Corporation) on the second day of his visit to China.
The meeting focused on discussing the prospects for increasing fuel supply volumes, ensuring stability, and expanding cooperation in the energy sector.
Speaking on behalf of Mongolia, Minister Dandinniyam noted that the country aims for sustainable satisfaction of its domestic fuel needs. CNPC representatives also shared information about their capabilities and plans to maintain stable supplies to the Mongolian market, improve supply efficiency, and expressed their readiness to strengthen cooperation in the future.
Mongolia is completely dependent on fuel imports, with 95% coming from Russia and the remaining 5% from China. During the official visit, the parties reached an agreement to increase the import volumes of gasoline and other types of fuel from China.
