The Cabinet and SOCAR Discussed Fuel Supplies to Kyrgyzstan

The Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic, Bakyt Torobaev, held talks in Azerbaijan, focusing on issues related to increasing trade turnover and the import of petroleum products. This was reported by the press service of the Government of Kyrgyzstan.

Logistics and Shipbuilding


During the visit, Bakyt Torobaev met with Ruslan Talibov, Chairman of the Board of the Baku Shipbuilding Plant.

At the meeting, the possibilities of the shipbuilding plant in the production of ferries and other vessels for the Trans-Caspian International Transport Corridor were discussed.

The parties considered the prospects for cooperation in the operation of ferries for transport and logistics needs, including the use of Kyrgyz vessels in the Caspian Sea, which will help improve the servicing of cargo routes and strengthen logistics for exported and imported goods of Kyrgyzstan.

It was emphasized that such cooperation could contribute to the diversification of the country's transport routes, reduce delivery times, and enhance the competitiveness of Kyrgyz businesses in international markets.

Partnership in Fuel and Lubricants and Digitalization


Bakyt Torobaev also held a meeting with Anar Mamedov, Vice President of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR).

The possibilities of supplying fuel and lubricants (F&L) to Kyrgyzstan were discussed, as well as the exchange of experience in improving energy efficiency, digitalizing production processes, and complying with environmental standards.

The Kyrgyz delegation also visited the Heydar Aliyev Oil Refinery, where they learned about the implementation of major projects aimed at modernizing oil processing and introducing modern technologies.
