Earlier, media reports indicated that drones, allegedly launched from Iran, fell on the territory of Nakhchivan airport. The Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported damages to the airport building and casualties among the civilian population.
In response to the accusations, Tehran denied its involvement in launching drones towards Azerbaijan. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Iran stated that such incidents could be provoked by Israel to worsen relations between Muslim states.
