Urgent: The ruling party of Mongolia has nominated 39-year-old Uchral for the position of Prime Minister

At the meeting, chaired by Sodbaatar Yangug, who is the head of the General Secretariat of the Mongolian People's Party, the nomination of Uchral Nyam-Osor, the current chairman of the Mongolian People's Party, for the position of Prime Minister of the country was announced. Uchral Nyam-Osor, the candidate for Prime Minister, was born on January 2, 1987, in Ulaanbaatar, and he turned 39 this year. In 2007, he graduated from Ikh Zasag University, where he earned a law degree.

In 2010, he obtained a Master’s degree in Business Administration and International Management from Buckingham University in the UK. Later, in 2013, he defended his doctoral dissertation in history at the Institute of Mongolian Studies, Tibetan Studies, and Buddhist Studies, which is part of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

Uchral Nyam-Osor holds higher education degrees in law, history, and business. He is married and has four children.

It is worth noting that recently, Zandanshatar Gombojav, who holds the position of Prime Minister of Mongolia, resigned during a closed meeting of the ruling council of the Mongolian People's Party (MPP).

On March 27, during the plenary session of the spring session of the Great State Khural (Parliament) of 2026, the Prime Minister's request for his resignation from the position was supported.
