On the evening before, mass inspections began in cafes, restaurants, and nightclubs in the city of Osh, initiated by Mayor Jenishbek Toktorbaev. The main objective of these raids is to ensure compliance with electricity usage norms during the winter period and to enforce the requirements of the "Silence Law".
According to local authorities, the inspections started exactly at 10:00 PM. City services noted that many establishments are violating government cabinet resolutions: the lighting in the premises is too bright, decorative and advertising lamps are in use, and some owners are ignoring instructions to reduce energy consumption during evening hours.

For their part, business representatives express dissatisfaction. Cafe and restaurant owners state that the majority of their clients come in the evening, and the requirements for partial lighting shutdown could negatively affect their operations.

During one of the inspections, the mayor sternly addressed one of the entrepreneurs: "Why are you not following the regulations? Does the law mean nothing to you? If this continues, I will leave you without work for a month."

The city administration emphasizes that these measures are necessary, as the southern capital has significantly exceeded electricity consumption limits for the first 10 months of 2025. Authorities assured that inspections will continue, and violators face fines.

The mayor's office urges establishment owners to comply with the law and the conservation regime to avoid disruptions in electricity supply during the winter period.
