In 2019, the municipal enterprise "Taza suu" signed a contract with the company "P" for the amount of 349.7 thousand euros for the supply and installation of 6000 water meters. This contract included not only the supply of equipment but also installation, commissioning, testing, commissioning, and acceptance act documentation.
However, the inspection results showed that most of the installed meters were not functioning, and about 580 units were completely missing. Additionally, 4000 meters of polyethylene pipes were purchased at a price of 35 euros per meter (approximately 3500 soms), while the actual cost at the time of purchase was around 15 soms. The warranty amounts to the contractor were returned after the warranty period without prior quality checks of the completed work and the condition of the equipment.
Since 2022, residents continued to pay for water under the old system, based on the number of residents, despite official statements about the implementation of a new accounting system.
