A contract worth 349.7 thousand euros was signed in 2019 between the municipal enterprise "Taza suu" and LLC "P". The agreement covered the supply and installation of 6 thousand water meters, as well as the installation, commissioning, testing, and acceptance documentation.
However, the inspection revealed that most of the installed meters were non-functional, and about 580 devices were completely missing. Additionally, 4 thousand meters of polyethylene pipes were purchased at a price of 35 euros per meter, while their actual cost at the time of purchase was about 15 soms. After the warranty period ended, amounts were returned to the contractor without prior quality checks of the completed work.
Since the beginning of 2022, residents continued to pay for water supply services based on the old scheme, relying on the number of people living in the houses, despite plans to implement a new accounting system.
