According to the investigation, one of the detainees, investigator O.G.O., a police captain from the Nariman district DIA of Kara-Suu, attempted to extort $3000 from a local resident. The situation is aggravated by the fact that the investigator already had a refusal material against this citizen regarding a fraud case, the verification of which began in 2024. The second individual involved, police captain S.N.S., acted as an intermediary and worked in the Aravan district DIA.
Operatives of the SCNS and the Internal Security Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs detained both policemen while they were receiving $1600. They are currently in the SCNS detention center.
