They were arrested in a case of extortion
An incident related to extortion occurred in the Osh region. In this regard, investigators from the Kara-Suu and Aravan District Police Departments were detained, as reported by the press service of the State Committee for National Security (GKNB).
During the investigation, it was revealed that an investigator from the Nariman village police station, Captain of Police "O.G.O.", extorted 3,000 US dollars from a citizen "K.u.O.". This citizen was under investigation for a fraud case registered in December 2024, however, the investigator already had a refusal material.
Captain "S.N.S.", who is also an investigator from the Aravan District Police Department, acted as an intermediary in this scheme.
During an operation conducted by the officers of the SVR of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, "O.G.O." and "S.N.S." were detained while attempting to receive 1,600 dollars. Both detainees have been placed in a temporary detention facility.
