An employee of the pawnshop in Kant has been arrested on suspicion of stealing 4 million soms.
According to the press service of the Main Department of Internal Affairs of the Chui region, on January 11, a woman named T.K. contacted the police, requesting action against the pawnshop employee, citizen U.P.
The suspect, holding the position of an appraiser and cashier, was issuing fake loans at inflated prices and embezzling the received money.
The investigation established that the illegal actions took place from November 2024 to December 31, 2025.
In connection with this incident, a criminal case has been initiated under Article 210 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic (Embezzlement and Misappropriation of entrusted property). The suspect has been detained and placed in a temporary detention facility.
The investigation into this case is currently ongoing.
