On February 11, a 34-year-old woman from Bishkek contacted the police with a complaint about her ex-husband. She stated that on that day he came to her rented apartment, where he beat her, twisted her arms, and threatened her with violence.
During the preliminary investigation, it was revealed that the couple divorced in August 2020; however, the ex-husband continues to stalk her. Since 2025, the woman has sought help from law enforcement five times. Despite the administrative measures taken against the man, his actions have not ceased.
The case has been registered under Article 138, Part 1 ("Torture") of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The suspect, born in 1989, was detained and placed in a temporary detention facility.
An investigation is currently underway.
