According to information from the SCNS press center, the property, located in Batken, was sold into private hands in January 2010. This occurred despite its strategic importance, when the Ministry of State Property, citing a government decree on privatization for 2008-2012, violated the norms of this act and removed the editorial building and the adjacent land plot of 0.22 hectares from state ownership.

As a result of the conducted operational investigative activities, the building was returned to state ownership, as stated in the official announcement.
