A video capturing a clash between citizens and the police in a house on Samoylenko Street in Bishkek has become popular in the Kyrgyz WhatsApp community. One user claims that the authorities intend to evict people onto the streets in winter.

However, as reported by the press service of the Interior Ministry of the Lenin District on February 21, the eviction did indeed take place, but it occurred back on October 14, 2025.

The police department clarified that from the clothing of the citizens and the uniforms of the police officers in the video, it is evident that the events did not happen in winter.

At that time, law enforcement agencies were ensuring public order during the execution of a court decision by bailiffs.

Currently, the building has been completely demolished.

Additionally, in response to a collective appeal from residents, a criminal case has been initiated under Article 213, Part 2, Clause 2 ("Unauthorized occupation or seizure of premises, buildings, or structures") of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. An investigation is underway.
