In Yakutia, a native of Kyrgyzstan was sentenced to 14 years in prison for attempted rape of a girl, theft, and carjacking.

In Mirny, located in Yakutia, a court hearing took place on February 25, during which a local court sentenced a native of Kyrgyzstan, reports the Unified Press Service of the Courts of the Republic of Sakha.

According to the charges, in October 2025, the man unlawfully entered an apartment, where he stole a mobile phone, a jacket with money, and car keys. In one of the rooms, he encountered a sleeping girl and attempted to rape her. However, when the girl began to resist and call for help, the criminal fled in a stolen car.

During the court session, the defendant admitted his guilt in theft and car theft but disputed the charges of unlawful entry and attempted rape of a minor.

As a result, the court found him guilty on several counts of the Criminal Code of Russia: Article 139 Part 1 ("Unlawful entry into a dwelling"), Article 30-131 ("Attempted rape of a person under 14 years of age"), Article 158 ("Theft"), and Article 166 ("Car theft").

The native of Kyrgyzstan was sentenced to 14 years in a high-security penal colony. In addition, he was ordered to pay compensation in the amount of 1 million 500 thousand rubles.
