The suspect used his connections and status for personal gain
Employees of the State Committee for National Security (GKNB) arrested lawyer A.K.A., who previously held the position of judge. This was reported in an official statement from the GKNB.
According to the investigation, this lawyer used his connections and status to create a corruption scheme, extorting money for assistance in rendering judicial decisions in civil cases.
In particular, he received 25 thousand dollars from the victim, after which he demanded another 7 thousand, threatening otherwise to use administrative resources to change the court's decision. Law enforcement authorities detained him at the crime scene when he accepted 437 thousand 500 soms.
The investigation is ongoing.
