According to JICA, as part of this event, the office of Kanazawa University at KRJC was also ceremonially opened.

The purpose of establishing the office is to facilitate academic exchanges between Japanese universities and institutions in Central Asia, as well as to promote joint scientific research and educational projects in the fields of ecology, medicine, technology, and tourism. A significant task will be the creation of an international academic network, Research Hub, linking Japan with Central Asia. "This initiative will allow for the development of major research and educational programs, participation in international grants and SATREPS projects, as well as the organization of joint internships and seminars," the statement said.

The event was organized by the Kyrgyz-Japanese Center for Human Resource Development (KRJC) and Kanazawa University with the support of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and the Kyrgyz National University named after Jusup Balasagyn.
