Previously, some establishments in the city were disconnected to ensure compliance with the noise law
Zhenishbek Toktorbaev, the mayor of Osh, issued an order to restore water and electricity supply to cafes and other establishments that were disconnected on November 13 as a result of a raid to enforce the noise law. At a meeting with entrepreneurs, he humorously noted that business owners "at least had one day of rest."
It is worth reminding that the raids were conducted by the mayors of Bishkek and Osh following a remark made by the Deputy Prime Minister and head of the State Committee for National Security, Kamchybek Tashiev.
The general public expressed criticism regarding the harshness of officials towards the visitors and staff of the establishments.
Furthermore, President Sadyr Japarov also expressed his disagreement with the "extreme measures" taken by the city authorities.
