The city of Kara-Kul is expanding — deputies approved the master plan until 2045

On November 28, 2025, the XI session of the city council took place in Kara-Kul, with the participation of 19 deputies.

During the meeting, important documents related to urban development and management were reviewed and approved. Among the decisions made:

- amendment of the regulation on the "Honorary Citizen of the City of Kara-Kul";

- transfer of an administrative building owned by the State National Security Committee (GKNB) to municipal ownership, along with a land plot of 801.7 square meters;

- transfer of two apartments that were on the balance of the city administration to the management of the Agency for State Property Management under the Cabinet of Ministers for providing official housing to GKNB employees;

- approval of co-financing for various projects under grants;

- agreement on co-financing for projects directed to the Development Fund of the Jalal-Abad Region;

- approval of the general plan for the city of Kara-Kul until 2045;

This general plan envisions an increase in the city's territory by 1,858.97 hectares. It will include the villages of Jazy-Kechuu, Kain dy Street, as well as the villages of Zheen-Kyshtoo and Chon-Tash, and the Kok-Bel area located in neighboring rural districts. The new plan will also define land for industrial use and residential construction, as well as develop a program for socio-economic development.

- the deputies heard a report from the city administration of architecture and urban planning on the work done over the 9 months of 2025;

- information was provided by the Kara-Kul branch of the State Agency for Land Resources, Cadastre, Geodesy, and Cartography about current activities and plans for 2025.
