

A round table was held at the GKNB Academy named after A.K. Bakaev, where issues related to the use of artificial intelligence and information technologies in the field of information security were discussed.
According to the press service of the state committee, representatives from various government agencies, scientific and educational institutions participated in the meeting, including the National Academy of Sciences, the National Commission on Language Policy, the National Institute for Strategic Studies, the Coordination Center for Cybersecurity of the GKNB, the Military Institute of the Armed Forces named after Lieutenant General K. Usenbekov, the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the KR, the KGUT named after I. Razzakov, and the KNU named after J. Balasagyn.
The main goal of the round table was to study the modern challenges and threats arising from the rapid development of digital technologies, as well as to seek ways to use AI to enhance the level of information security in the country.
During the discussion, participants addressed key issues such as the trends in AI development and their impact on the security of the digital space, as well as the risks associated with the use of big data and intelligent algorithms. The possibilities of applying AI in the work of law enforcement agencies and the need for training qualified specialists in the field of cyber defense and information analysis were also discussed.
Participants noted that the implementation of AI technologies in the processes of ensuring information security opens up new opportunities for threat forecasting, monitoring automation, and improving the efficiency of responses to cyber incidents. However, it was emphasized that the widespread use of AI requires compliance with legislative norms and ethical standards, as well as reliable protection of information systems, the message added.
As a result of the round table, recommendations were developed for the advancement of scientific research in the field of AI, strengthening practical training for specialists, and expanding inter-agency cooperation in the field of information security.
