These measures are aimed at creating comfortable conditions for tourists and local residents, as well as minimizing the risk of road traffic accidents. Continuous cleaning of the roadway and the application of inert materials are carried out by employees of the road maintenance enterprise No. 11, which is part of the state enterprise "Kyrgyzavtozhol-North".
This year, the road to the "Karakar" ski base was transferred to the Ministry of Transport and Communications, which allowed for the organization of regular maintenance of the route during the winter period.
The ministry also warns drivers that in worsening weather conditions, the road may become slippery, especially in areas with inclines and descents. Drivers are advised to adhere to speed limits, maintain a safe distance, and use winter tires and anti-skid chains.
Work on clearing and treating the road will continue on an ongoing basis throughout the entire winter season, the ministry emphasizes.
