A new robbery occurred in Paris, resulting in couriers delivering jewelry losing several bags of precious items. According to information provided by Le Figaro, citing the Paris prosecutor's office, among the stolen items was a sapphire worth 150,000 euros.

Preliminary data indicates that the criminal, armed with a pistol, was waiting for the couriers, hiding behind a van near the jewelry store. As soon as the couriers parked their vehicle, he attacked them, striking one of them on the head and threatening them with a weapon. The robber made off with jewelry totaling 160,000 euros, including the sapphire, and fled the scene on a scooter. One of the couriers, who was injured, was taken to a medical facility.

The prosecutor's office is currently conducting an investigation, but no results have been achieved so far.

It is worth noting that in October of this year, a high-profile robbery took place at the Louvre, where thieves stole historical artifacts worth around 88 million euros in just seven minutes. Subsequently, the police arrested eight suspects; however, the stolen jewelry, including items belonging to former members of the French royal family, has not been recovered.

Additionally, on December 20, information emerged that the head waiter of the Élysée Palace had been smuggling porcelain items out of the French president's residence for two years. In total, he stole about a hundred pieces of tableware that were used at official events. According to the police, he passed the stolen items to a 30-year-old porcelain collector who worked as a curator in one of the halls of the Louvre.
