Including two children who were adopted by foreigners
In the third quarter of 2025, 492 children were placed in guardianship, 370 were adopted under the national program, and 2 infants were placed under the care of foreign citizens.
“All families that have taken in children undergo mandatory registration and are under regular supervision by guardianship authorities, which ensures proper care, upbringing, and protection of children's rights. The processes of adoption and placement of children in guardianship are strictly regulated by the legislation of the Kyrgyz Republic and the relevant norms for transferring children to both citizens of the country and foreigners,” the statement said.
The press service emphasizes that such measures are aimed at creating a safe and supportive environment for children left without parental care, as well as strengthening the institutions of family placement in Kyrgyzstan.
