In Kyrgyzstan, since the beginning of the year, more than 67,000 calls have been received on the children's helpline

In the Ministry of Social Protection of Kyrgyzstan, it was reported that since the beginning of the current year, the children's helpline — number 111 — has received 67,429 calls. Of this number, 2,777 calls were made for consultation or assistance. More than 42% of the inquiries came from children, while adults accounted for 57.9% of the total inquiries. Specialists provided 1,977 consultations, 574 individuals received psychological assistance, and 226 cases were referred to the relevant state authorities for further action.

If we consider the distribution by gender and age, among the inquiries, 438 (15.8%) were made by men, 1,169 (42%) by women, 324 (11.7%) by boys, and 846 (30.5%) by girls.

The children's helpline, operating under the auspices of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection, has been functioning since 2015 and provides round-the-clock assistance, accepting free calls from all corners of the country.

Every day, psychologists at the center work 24 hours, with two specialists present in each shift. They answer calls, listen to callers, provide consultations, record inquiries, and pass on information to the relevant institutions depending on their competence. All conversations are documented.

The main task of the center's work is to provide timely support to children and adults who find themselves in difficult life circumstances, as well as to prevent possible risks to their psychological and social well-being.
