In Kyrgyzstan, work continues on the development of the foster family system, carried out by the Ministry of Labor, Social Protection, and Migration. Annual budget funds are allocated for the training of those wishing to become foster parents and for the support of children in such families.

Regional divisions of the ministry regularly monitor compliance with the norms and standards for the care of children in foster families.

Additionally, it should be noted that the procedure for providing foster family services is established by the resolution of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic No. 622 dated December 21, 2020.
