On the air of "Birinchi Radio," Minister of Education Dogdurkul Kendirbaeva commented on the criticism related to paid meals in kindergartens. She noted that while many parents hope for funding for meals from the state budget, according to the Budget Code, these expenses should be covered by the parents themselves.

Kendirbaeva emphasized that the state is responsible for the development and socialization of children, but providing for their meals is a sacred duty of every parent. She also mentioned social benefits that assist families in difficult financial situations, as well as grants for starting businesses. The state cares for children who are without parental care, taking this responsibility upon itself.

The minister added that the average cost of a child's meals is about 2,000 soms per month, which, in her opinion, should not be a significant financial burden for families. "For those who truly need it, the state is already providing assistance," concluded the head of the Ministry of Education.
