In Kyrgyzstan, a competition has been launched for the allocation of land plots for projects related to renewable energy sources. Specifically, this concerns the construction of solar power plants and small hydropower plants in various regions of the country.

According to the Green Energy Fund, nine plots have been put up for competition, located in the Jalal-Abad, Batken, Osh, and Issyk-Kul regions. The sizes of the plots range from less than 1 hectare to 760 hectares, creating opportunities for the implementation of both small and large-scale energy solutions.

Of the allocated plots, three are designated for solar power plants, while the others are for small hydropower plants. It is expected that the implementation of these projects will help increase the share of "green" energy, reduce dependence on traditional sources of electricity, and attract private investment to the regions.
The competition is scheduled to conclude on February 11, 2026. During this time, potential investors will be able to submit their applications and necessary documents.
The Fund emphasized that the development of renewable energy sources is one of the key directions of state policy in the field of energy and sustainable development.
