The minister shared plans to create a film studio, noting that this proposal has received approval at the national leadership level. In addition, the Ministry of Culture intends to establish a Dolby Atmos recording studio, which will allow for the creation of three-dimensional immersive sound. This will significantly simplify the process of dubbing films, as many local filmmakers are forced to travel to Moscow to obtain quality sound, which incurs high travel and studio rental costs.
"Why not create such working conditions in our country? The government is ready to do this now," Mambetaliev said, adding that work is currently underway to determine the technical specifications for the future studio. "I hope that by the end of 2026 we will be able to complete the installation," he noted.
As for the film studio, the minister explained that its construction is necessary, as many private producers are also looking for filming locations. "A government order will ensure the operation of 'Kyrgyzfilm', and the vacant spaces of the studio can be used by private companies, which will also bring additional income," he clarified.
Furthermore, Mambetaliev announced plans to implement numerous reforms in the film industry throughout 2026. "Our legislation in the field of culture and cinema has not been updated since 2000. We are currently actively working on its revision, analyzing laws and internal acts to simplify processes for all participants in the film industry," the minister concluded.
