Deputy Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic and Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry Bakyt Torobaev conducted a review of the project concerning the construction of an alternative road to the Manas International Airport. According to the Ministry of Transport and Communications, Minister Absattar Syrgabaev and his colleagues presented details about the upcoming works, the goals of the project, as well as its technical specifications and implementation stages. The new four-lane section of the road will be 17 km long.
Construction will begin from the intersection of the Northern Bypass Road of Bishkek with the Young Guard Boulevard and will include a two-level transport interchange, lighting, and landscaping.
Further research and design work is planned.
In addition, the possibility of constructing a two-lane road and a bridge 8.7 km long, connecting the villages of Mramornoye and Vinogradnoye, is being considered in the Chui region.
The project aims to reduce traffic congestion, enhance road safety, and improve infrastructure, which will also facilitate the development of interregional connections.
