The UN commented on the statement by the President of the United States regarding the intention to resume nuclear tests.
Farhan Haq, Deputy Spokesperson for the UN, stated in response to journalists' inquiries that nuclear tests should not be conducted under any circumstances, commenting on US President Donald Trump's remarks about plans to resume testing after a long hiatus. He emphasized that "the Secretary-General has repeatedly pointed out the high nuclear risks, and any actions that could lead to miscalculations or escalation with catastrophic consequences must be excluded."
