Data from the National Statistics Committee reveals the main causes of mortality
Cardiovascular diseases continue to be the leading cause of death among Kyrgyzstanis, according to information provided by the National Statistics Committee.
In January 2026, 2,700 deaths were registered due to this reason, according to the Civil Registry Office data.
Although this figure has slightly decreased compared to last year, cardiovascular diseases still rank first among the causes of mortality.
Medical professionals express particular concern that these diseases are becoming increasingly common among young people. Every year, between 20,000 and 30,000 citizens aged 30 to 60 lose their lives due to these diseases.
